Today I'm guest posting for Lee over at the weekly WIP Wednesday linky party. I'm also sharing some exciting news (finally!).

I've been planning this stitch-along project for over a month now behind the scenes, and with the release of Honey Honey by Kate Spain, I can finally get started on my sample project and the tutorials. Would you like to join me? : )
I've designed this large throw pillow project to be a great way to practice a bunch of hand-stitching techniques like EEP, hand applique, hand-quilting, and embroidery. It has little bite-sized components of each technique which makes it less daunting in my opinion to get started learning a new skill.
This will be my first foray into hosting a stitch-along/ sew-along and I hope to make it a great experience for everyone! I'd love to have you join me! Plus, there will be great prizes to win along the way from some fantastic sponsors.
Feel free to stop by Freshly Pieced today to check out my guest post, read up on the rest of the stitch-along news, and of course link up those projects you've been working on this week. : ) See you there!

Wow! This looks like a very fun pillow and a great way to practice. I can't wait to sew along.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like so much fun, Jenelle! I'm definitely interested!
ReplyDeleteWow, looks great Jenelle!
ReplyDeleteI would like to join in although the Honey Honey range hasn't hit these shores yet. Di x
ReplyDeleteI can't follow along due to work commitments, but I wish I could. If anyone had the ability to take hexagons to the next level, it's you. Once again, a gorgeous, creative project!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I'd poop my pants. I love your sample too. I wish school did not hinder me from keeping up with a sew along pace. I'm so pinning this for later.
ReplyDeleteI am really interested in this sewalong- I've added your blog to my reader so I don't miss anything.
ReplyDeleteWow this is fantastic! I love it and can't wait to see! It looks like everything is enough to get a technique but not overwhelming. Hello new WIP
ReplyDeleteI love hexagons, and I'd like to find out more about this super cute project. I'm now a menber of your blog, so I won't miss anything. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I'll definitely join in. Been wanting to tackle new stitching techniques for some time but haven't had the courage to start on a larger project. The pillow is perfect for that... And very cute on top off that :)
ReplyDeleteThat's an absolutely stunning design Jenelle!!
ReplyDeleteI love hand stitching and this is just fun way to sharpen my skill! Hope I can get the Honey Honey fabric before the sew along starts!:)
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteYour pillow sounds like a fun project! I have been thinking about picking up some Homey, Honey. I love the colors, happy springy prints especially the honey comb print.
ReplyDeleteI would love to join in as I love hand stitching. I am unable to buy any honey honey though (budget restrictions) so will have to find something in my scraps instead. Hope that is okay.
ReplyDeleteLove to see someone who likes quilting and hand embroidery and hexagons. deadly combination :)
ReplyDeletehave subscribed to your blog by email. Would love to join teh quilt along.
